In years long passed, distillery workers would help themselves to a dram using a ‘copper dog’; a pipe hidden inside the leg of their trousers. These rascals are the inspiration for this unique blend of no fewer than eight Speyside single malt whiskies, slowly married together in old oak casks for a minimum of three months. Copper Dog Blended Scotch Whiskey is an easy-drinking scotch with ripe fruit aromas and a delicately spicy finish.
Serving Suggestion: Copper Dog whisky is best served with freshly pressed apple juice, cola or in an Old Fashioned cocktail.
On the nose, fresh fruit and toffee apple; an integration of ripe orchard fruits (apples and pears), berries, and a hint of citrus, layered above a background of sweet wood and creamy vanilla fudge.
Fresh and fruity, some malty notes with hints of wood (mainly vanilla) and spice. The balance of wood is equally important; it has allowed these important distillery characters to come to the fore, amplifying their subtlety, whilst giving us creamy vanilla and delicate spice notes and tannins.
