Clynelish 16 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Four Corners of Scotland Collection, 70cl
Clynelish 16-Year-Old is the second release from the ‘Four Corners of Scotland Collection’. This limited-edition series of Single Malts commemorates the transformation of the brand homes of Glenkinchie, Cardhu, Caol Ila, and Clynelish. The four distilleries represent the four corners of Scotland. This collection is exclusively available online at Malts.com. Johnnie Walker & Clynelish - An important element of Johnnie Walker whiskies since the 19th century. When John Walker & Sons built a library of single malts to craft their whiskies, they sought out elusive Clynelish for its unique combination of highland maritime qualities with a warm, waxy embrace.
Serving Suggestion: A little water increases the waxiness slightly and brings up a lightly scented note.
Some gingery warmth lingers in the medium length, lightly drying finish.
A rich, smooth yet understated malt with quiet authority, this waxy Clynelish from selected American Oak hogsheads has a mild nose with waxy top notes of a well-rubbed waxed cotton jacket and a trace of snuffed candle in the development, on a moorland base.
The texture is silky-smooth, and the taste is sweet, its honeyed richness balanced by a delicious tropical fruit acidity.
