A whisky bathed in the soft warmth of Autumn light. Picture walking through a forest on the slopes of a Pyrenean mountain – a perfect single moment of carefree joy. Fallen Autumn leaves carpet the path ahead, conversations cocooned by red and orange. Look up. Rays of golden light split between the canopy, framing a gradient sky. This 14-year-old expression from The Singleton Glen Ord Distillery is matured life-long in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, then part-finished with the lively influence of Pyrenean and Spanish oak cask ends. Vibrant orchard fruit flavours can be savoured, alongside fragrant aromatics and grassy notes as crisp as the air unfolds. A freshness balanced with comforting sweetness that swells with vanilla, toffee and spice.

Body
Medium.
Palate
A creamy texture, which is quite tooth-coating. The taste starts sweet and centre palate, becoming tart, with a strong hint of Seville orange peel then drying as it shows its fierier side with peppery spiciness.
Nose
A mellow nose in feel; mild overall. The first aromas suggest an orange cream cake filling, becoming orange sponge cake with a hint of vanilla.
Finish
Long, warming, and spicy, with a mouth-cooling aftertaste. Still spicy with a dash of water.
