Visit the Cragganmore Distillery
Founded by Speyside legend Big John Smith, Cragganmore was created using a pioneering flat-top pot still designed to create the sweetest, most complex of malt whiskies. Cragganmore Scotch can count barley and Scotland’s fastest flowing river as two of its natural influences. In fact, Big John chose the location precisely because of the plentiful supply of spring water, and the connection to the Great Highland Railway line. Thanks to Big John, Cragganmore was the first Speyside distillery to take advantage of railway transport as a means of bringing in raw materials, and sending out their delicious, unique malt.
Today, Cragganmore welcomes visitors to discover the ins and outs of this legendary distillery for themselves, through immersive tours and delectable tastings.
If you are unable to find a suitable booking time, then please do still visit our retail store where you will receive a warm welcome.

Address: Cragganmore Distillery, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, AB37 9AB, UK
Cragganmore distillery is located in Ballindalloch in the Speyside whisky region. Cragganmore is approximately 20 mins drive from Grantown-on-Spey following the A95. Public transport is limited and does not stop nearby the distillery so we would always recommend using a local taxi company if you are not driving to Cragganmore. If you are using ‘What 3 Words’ the reference is ‘reduction.unloading.offerings’ for Cragganmore. There is a train service with trains arriving in Keith, a nearby town which is around a 30-minute drive from the station to Cragganmore.
We recommend visiting Traveline Scotland to plan your route and to stay up to date on transport options.
